In response to heightened violence and hostility during the 1940’s through the 1970’s\, members of the branch joined forces with students and civil rights/labor activists from Carteret\, Perth Amboy\, Sayreville\, South Amboy\, and Woodbridge Township to conduct mass demonstrations such as boycotts\, walkouts\, sit-ins\, protest marches\, and picket lines. NAACP Perth Amboy is working to reclaim the legacy and continue the fight!
