Celebrating Perth Amboy’s Super Bowl Connection

Lorenzo Cardona Grammy Nominee Perth Amboy

The excitement for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show is high in Perth Amboy! Bad Bunny’s teaser video of the artist dancing with people has us all waiting to get up and dance with him on Sunday evening. The Puerto Rican artist just won best album of the year at the Grammys for his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos.  And his 2025 concert residency in Puerto Rico was a major economic boost to the island raising an estimated $500 million in tourism.

Hometown pride is high too, as Grammy nominated music engineer Lorenzo Cardona from Perth Amboy is set to produce the show. Lorenzon posted up on Facebook,

“February 8th will be a day full of pride and reflection. Pride for not just being Puertorican but for being Hispanic and representing the Hispanic culture as a whole. It will be the day that we remind this world the impact we have made and will continue to make on society. Treat the Super Bowl like it’s the Puertorican festival/parade. Get your flags out, stick them outside, wrap your cars, and wear every article of clothing you got with the PR flag all over it! Get that Pernil and Arroz con Gandules ready because this will be a performance for the ages. The world will see us and it’s our duty to show them what this little island brings to the table.”

Puerto Rican restaurants in Perth Amboy like Torres Cafe have special catering menus for your Super Bowl party. And caterers like Chris Guzman’s Sabor de la Isla have special menus with orders needing to be placed by February 5.

Enjoy the Superbowl!
