The Perth Amboy Recreation Department provides sailboats for the public to take out during the afternoons in the summer, launching at the end of Second St.

Perth Amboy High School’s award winning Sailing Team practices from the public boat launch at the end of Second St. Sailings teams from Summit, Chatham and Princeton also practice in Perth Amboy.

Perth Amboy is home to the countries oldest yacht club, the Raritan Yacht Club. The Club hosts race night every Wednesday night.  You can show up at the club and help crew people’s boats going out. They host the Red Grant Regatta in the summer.
