On Aug. 21, 2017, the Great American Total Solar Eclipse will occur, where part of the United States will be able to see the sun disappear behind the moon, and day will turn into night, and the temperature will drop. The event will start around 1:13pm and reach its climax at 2:48pm. NJ will only be able to see a partial eclipse. The eclipse will end at 4pm.

To prepare for the eclipse, visit the Perth Amboy Public Library.  They have free eclipse glasses and other eclipse resources to help you to enjoy the partial solar eclipse which will be visible in New Jersey.
