Every Saturday the restaurant is packed with visitors from around the state sampling the cuisine and getting delicious take out orders from the many offerings. The cosy restaurant is well decorated and the exterior has is a bright color teal with murals. The lunch specials are delicious, like pollo The frituros, deep fried snacks, are delicious treats including empanadas they are known for like the pizza empanada. Also delicious are the alcapurrias (plantain with meat filling) and papa rellena (mashed potato and meat.) They are also known for the jibarito sandwich, steak or chicken on friend plantain with meat, cheese, lettuce tomatoes and aioli. Also delicious are their lunch special plates, pollo asado lunch combo, roast chicken with arroz con gandules and chuletas (fried pork chop) with beans and rice. The go to holiday dish are the pasteles, masa of plantain and yuca, filled with a savory meat stew, and steamed in banana leaves, which Torres offers frozen by the dozen. Everything is good.
