In a Facebook live video on her page, Mayor Wilda Diaz announced Tuesday March 31 that she had been in contact with someone who tested positive with the highly contagious coronavirus. Mayor Diaz may have been exposed to the virus and is self quarantining to help stop the spread, which is the health directive everyone must follow. She has not had any symptoms but is quarantining herself to help keep her family and Perth Amboy residents safe. She will be working from home, and will keep the city informed.
