The New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra String Quartet will perform “The Revolutionary War in New Jersey” at Historic St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy, NJ, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 7PM. The special musical program celebrates the Semi-quincentennial at a Revolutionary War site in Perth Amboy, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

The program explores New Jersey’s role in the Revolutionary War, in words and music.

The musical program includes a period string quartet and pieces by more recent composers that reflect the sounds and traditions of the Revolutionary War period.  

It is a narrated musical program performed by the NBCO’s String Quartet, under the direction of Dr. Julia Bauanis alongside a Revolutionary War historian.

Important but overlooked events of the war in New Jersey and Middlesex County will be described in words and music. 

St Peter’s Church is at 188 Rector St (parking in rectory lot)) The event is free. Space is limited and reservations are necessary. You can register for the event at the Proprietary House website.
