Paella Festival at the Waterfront this Weekend

Paella Festival at Perth Amboy Waterfront

The New Jersey Paella Cookoff & Annual State Wide Paella Festival will be held this Sunday September 24th in Perth Amboy at the Marina, 260 Front St from 12-6pm. The Paella for the World Foundation is the organizer of this 3rd annual event. There is no entrance fee to attend the event. Dishes can be purchased individually from vendors. Appetizers are $5-$6 and plates of paella are $10. Throughout the day there will be seafood, meat and vegetarian paellas available. Paella Party will be doing a large paella. The event features a paella competition with 15 chefs scheduled to compete and a panel of judges will select the winners. The Cook-off judges include Top Chef Diego De La Rosa, who co-owns Paella Party Catering in Fords, N.J., and Master Chef Serafin Sarduy, executive chef at New Brunswick-based Esquina Latina Restaurant.  There will be a DJ and also live music performances and flamenco dance performances throughout the day. The event is hosted by the City of Perth Amboy,  the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
