The Middlesex County Arts Institute announced that the Perth Amboy City Government and local Perth Amboy nonprofits were awarded grant funding as part of the Middlesex County 2025 Arts and History Grants Awards.

The awards went to Perth Amboy Artworks $5,000 (Salsa by the Bay dance and music series pictured), City of Perth Amboy $17,000 (Festivals/Folk Life), the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development $11,275 (Festivals/Folk Life), and Concerts by the Bay $10,000 for concerts by the Garden State Symphonic Band.

County officials announced that $2,455,007 was given to 105 municipal agencies and local nonprofit arts and history organizations across the County. The grant cycle opens each summer, and workshops and guidelines are available and interested groups should apply. The areas of funding are in general operating funds, program funds, capital funds and historic preservation.

The County Commissioners make funding possible through the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund. Middlesex County’s funding partners include the New Jersey Historical Commission and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
