Taste of Perth Amboy aboard the St Charles Paddlewheel Riverboat Oct 19

The Taste of Perth Amboy is an annual culinary event hosted by the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District featuring latin and international cuisine from 25 of Perth Amboy’s best restaurants, cafes, bakers, food crafters and caterers. Chefs serve a sampling of appetizers, entrees, and desserts as well as specialty refreshments. Sampling these delicious offerings is fun but even more so aboard the vintage Cornucopia Cruise Line’s St. Charles Paddleboat,  docked on Raritan Bay with excellent water views. The event benefits the Perth Amboy Free Public Library, the cultural anchor of our downtown. The historic library opened in 1903 and was one of the first Carnegie Libraries, funded by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. Mayor Diaz will be speaking about the importance of voting “yes” on the November ballot question that asks New Jersey to issue $125 million in bonds to fund library building projects around the Garden State. The Perth Amboy Library is in need of expansion and funds.

The Taste of Perth Amboy is Thursday evening Oct 19th from 6-9pm. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children, can be purchased online at eventbrite.
