Kushner is back in Perth Amboy. On the agenda for the Wednesday July 10 2024 Perth Amboy City Council meeting is a $200 million project that has not had a public presentation to the community. The vote would give Kushner a 35 year PILOT, when PILOTs in Perth Amboy have previously been 20 years. Councilman BJ Torres said that the $200 million project does not include union labor. In the past, residents have complained about the poor quality buildings with water leaks.
Issues such as parking have been at the forefront of Perth Amboy resident concerns about developments and the project calls for 625 high end residential units. If each new rental unit has only 2 cars that means another 2,594 cars on the city streets. The development is in the Waterfront area surrounding their old project.
