Celebrate Hispanic Heritage in Perth Amboy with Latin food, music and art at the Historic Perth Amboy Public Library on Saturday Oct 7 from 1pm-5pm (the new date due to inclement weather). Enjoy live Latin bands, dance and theatrical performances, an art exhibit featuring local artists and sample Latin food from local eateries. The Manny Pacheco Award Ceremony is also part of the Celebration. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the arts, celebrating individuals who have enriched the community with their artistic endeavors. The Perth Amboy Public Library is at 196 Jefferson Street. The event is free and will have fun for all ages with kids activities like face painting and a dominoes tournament. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept 15 – Oct 15 annually in the US.
