Middlesex County Jazz Festival in Perth Amboy

The new Middlesex County Jazz Festival is coming to Perth Amboy on Friday, September 29th  at 7 pm, featuring a great evening of Jazz under the Harvest Moon at the Historic Perth Amboy Ferry Slip at 300 Front Street on the Perth Amboy Waterfront.  The new festival will also be in Edison on Sept 28, New Brunswick and Metuchen on Sept 30th and Woodbridge on Oct 1. The Perth Amboy show features Julian Meyers Koncept playing swinging experimental Jazz featuring elements of Gospel, Funk & Rock at 7pm. Read bio here.

Forbidden Tropics  will play at 8pm at the Ferry Slip playing Afro-Peruvian Jazz led by guitarist/composer Alejandro Ataucusi from Perth Amboy. Forbidden Tropics fuses Jazz with Afro-Peruvian music, forming unique world music. Read band bio here.

Enjoy great live music, beautiful views of Raritan Bay and the full moon. Also check out the Ferry Slip Museum at the venue and the great food and drinks available along the marina and waterfront.  The Barge restaurant is offering 10 % off food bill.

Chef Deluxe Me Food Truck will be at the festival from 5-10pm serving up a delicious menu. Free parking is available at the Perth Amboy Marina next to the Ferry Slip. The rain location for the Jazz Festival in Perth Amboy is the Perth Amboy Public Library at 196 Jefferson St.

Perth Amboy artist Victor Quezada and his Latin Jazz Band will be the headliner kicking off the Middlesex County Jazz Festival in Edison on Thurs Sept 28th with openers Stevens High School Jazz Ensemble and The Delegations.

On Sept 30 in New Brunswick enjoy New Brunswick Jazz Project Brass,  Conrad Herwig Latin Side All Stars, and headliner Nat Adderley Jr.

Sept 30 in Metuchen enjoy Jill Justin Dance Alliance, Metuchen High School Jazz Ensemble, .  Molly Ryan and Manhattan Premierand headliner Cyrus Chestnut Quartet

Oct 1 in Woodbridge Woodbridge High School Jazz Choir, The Edmar Castaneda Quartetand headliner Alicia Olatula Quintet.
