Perth Amboy Discusses Favorite Weed Shops on 4/20

The best question in the NYC Mayoral debate was when they asked the candidates where did they like to buy weed. We are in a new era, where the idea of keeping past bias alive is a joke. 60 Minutes this past Sunday did a story on the medical benefits of marijuana for adults. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro on 4/20 asked the legislature to send him legislation to legalize it because the state was missing out on sales. President Trump is moving the drug in an executive order to be rescheduled, a federal policy shift recognizing cannabis as having accepted medical use and a lower potential for abuse.

In Middlesex County, many municipalities have legal weed shops and they are popular and problem free. Woodbridge, Metuchen, New Brunswick, South River, and Highland Park all have shops. Carteret is expected to also have shops. Will Perth Amboy also consider having shops? Given these shops create revenue and jobs, and our school district is proposing a budget that will require a tax hike, will we take this opportunity to begin to develop new business, jobs and revenue for the city?

When asked about their favorite weed shops, residents had recommendations. They like AYR in Woodbridge (good deals), Zen Leaf in Elizabeth (good selection, deals, parking), and Puffin in New Brunswick. They mentioned that AYR in Highland Park was one of the only weed shops to deliver to Perth Amboy which they were grateful for. People also recommend Honorable Plant in Highlands and Earth & Ivy in New Brunswick.

Someone mentioned that they thought the churches in Perth Amboy were opposed to weed, but pointed out that this may change as the medical adult use is widely accepted now.
