The Perth Amboy Fireworks Spectacular over Raritan Bay celebrating Independence Day will take place Wednesday July 2, 2025 at 9:20pm. Before the fireworks, the city hosts a festival from 4-9pm featuring live bands, food vendors and artisans. The festival location is along Sadowski Parkway from The Hummingbird Garden to St Demetrios Church. The Police Athletic League also holds a Carnival and Fun Fair, with rides on the waterfront at the end of Second St. The carnival is from 5pm-9:30pm with vendors as well. The rain date for the fireworks is July 3rd. Best viewing of the fireworks is Water Street Between High and Lewis Street.
Free shuttle service will be offered from 4pm-10pm. Shuttle service is pick up from the Perth Amboy Public Library (196 Jefferson St) and Jefferson Garage (151 Jefferson St.) to drop off at Lewis/Water St or Gordon/High St. Free metered parking downtown and at city garages begins at 5pm. Road Closures, Parking and Traffic Advisory All streets south of Lewis Street close at 6:00 PM. Sadowski Parkway closes at 12:00 PM (no parking.) Traffic direction is Lewis St → One-way westbound, Paterson St → One-way eastbound, Post-event: Market St & Riverview Dr → westbound only.
The bands performing are the 11 piece Funk Salsa Urban band from 5-7pm and 7 piece American Soul from 7:15-9pm. The bandstand will be on the green along Sadowski Parkway on the waterfront as well as the food trucks and artisans.

Food vendors include Chef DeluxeMe Food Truck, Papa Pincho, Torres Cafe, Bistro Hospitality, Nayas Sushi on Wheels Food Truck, Juicy Hotdogs, The Best Taco Truck, Empanada Express, RoeJoe Kettle Corn & Snacks, Paradise Italian Ice, Cinnaholic Metuchen, Dannys Soft Serve.

Artisans selling items include Little Lukie’s Crochet, Richie Olivera Flutes, Uroza Crochet, Liliana Crafts and More, Creations by Jenny, Plushies con Amor, Oils by Kev, Lily Designs Bow Bowtique, Flaming Sisters Design, Pampered with Crochet, Lds Printing Goods, and more!

The fireworks are brought to you by the City of Perth Amboy, the Perth Amboy Business Improvement Corporation and the Celebrate Stars and Stripes Nonprofit.
