The very popular Salsa by the Bay music and dance series produced by Perth Amboy Artworks returns to the beautiful Perth Amboy Waterfront on Friday June 27 2025. The series features a one hour group Salsa dance lesson by premiere Latin dance instructor Angelo Anderson from 5:30-6:30pm. Then 2 hours of open dancing and listening to live Salsa by Victor Baro y su Orquesta from 6:30-8:30pm. Bayview Park is located on the Perth Amboy Waterfront at 250 Water St. The event is free and open to the public. You can register on eventbrite or RSVP on Facebook or just show up.

The very popular Perth Amboy food truck ChefDeluxeMe will be serving delicious Latin fusion cuisine at the events. Bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy the beautiful waterfront park with views of Raritan Bay, sailboats, the Marina and Conference House Park.

“It’s beautiful to see people dance salsa in different styles here whether it be street style, homegrown or ballroom. I just love seeing people do their thing!” said Rosemary Nivar, production coordinator for Salsa by the Bay.
Salsa by the Bay will also feature a Bachata and Merengue Night on July 25th. “We had some wonderful suggestions to branch to a couple more genres that people are more familiar dancing including merengue and bachata. So you asked and we delivered!” said Rosemary. Come learn to dance Bachata & Merengue in group dance lesson by Nancy Ynchaustegui from 5:30-6:30pm. Then from 6:30-8:30pm enjoy dancing to Live Bachata & Merengue featuring J Moreno La Banda Soberana.

Salsa by the Bay finale is Friday August 22 and will feature a Salsa group dance lesson by Kevin Toft from South St Salsa from 5:30-6:30pm. Then from 6:30-8:30pm enjoy open dancing to Live Salsa featuring Swing Combo. A special presentation of the Manny Pacheco Award in Arts & Public Service will take place at the event.
