Full Corn Moonrise over Raritan Bay Wednesday Sept 6  7:48pm Free
The big orange full Corn Moon will rise over Raritan Bay at 7:48pm. Best place to check it out is at the marina. Get some ice cream and enjoy! You can enjoy this special moon all week in varying degrees of fullness. Details

NAACP Founders Day: Reclaiming Our Time Friday Sept 8  6-8pm Free
The NAACP Perth Amboy is on the move to reclaim their legacy of working to end discrimination, racial prejudice and unjust policy. Join them for their Founders Day prayer vigil. Details

Royal Garden Club Work Party Saturday Sept 9 at 10am
Perth Amboy’s Royal Garden Club maintains public gardens around the City. Saturday’s work party is at Jackie’s Garden located at One Olive Street, at the Jankowski Center.

Youth Fishing Derby/ Casting Contest at Perth Amboy Marina Satuday Sept 9 9am-noon Free
Ages 15 and under can enter the annual event. Fishing poles/bait provided. Prizes. Rain or shine. Details

Classic Car Show Saturday Sept 9 noon-4pm Free
BID hosts 150 vintage cars, doo wop by Sounds of the Street, 50’s/60’s rock n roll classics, food vendors & merchants selling automobile memorabilia, equipment and clothing at City Hall Circle. Details

Live at the Ferry Slip Music Series Saturday Sept 9 7-9pm Free
Perth Amboy Artworks hosts the popular live music series. Proper  plays latin folk called Trova, showcasing elements of Afro beat, rock, salsa and orchestral arrangement. Joseph Frame plays Brazilian Jazz. melding the influences of his various musical interests: Brazilian, Classical, Gypsy-Jazz, and the Great American Songbook. Live Music at Al Cibelli’s Saturday Sept 9  8pm-midnight Free
Al Cibelli’s on Rt 35 is a great place to hear rocking bands. Tonight there is no cover with Mike’s Plot, Cory Singer and Dough Diettman. Details

Moonlit Dinner Cruise on the Cornucopia Saturday Sept 9 7:30-11:30pm

Arts Council Meeting Tuesday Sept 12 6:30pm-8pm
The Arts Council will be discussing the upcoming Perth Amboy Terra Cotta History Tour sponsored by Proprietary House, among other arts subjects. All are welcome. They meet monthly at the Perth Amboy Public Library. Details
